Easy-to-prepare cutlets on the George Foreman Grill, which retain their moisture throughout the cooking process, last only a few minutes. Thin, lean turkey breasts are sliced into thin slices for grilled cutlets. With these tips in mind, grill your turkey cutlets for about 10 minutes, flipping once, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, be sure to use a meat thermometer to ensure that they are cooked through. Second, since they are thinner than other pieces of meat, they will cook faster so keep a close eye on them. First, turkey cutlets are best cooked on a medium-high heat so that they don’t dry out. Next time, I'm determined to try the turkey chops, which is supposed to be great. When it comes to cooking turkey cutlets on the grill, there are a few things to keep in mind. Also, my order was prompt, it was ready five minutes after I got there. There are a few tables inside, it's clean enough, and the staff were very friendly. I urge Yelpers to give this place a shot and support a local up and coming business, especially in this dreadful economy. The restaurant isn't in a "shady" or "seedy" area, just in a shopping center that doesn't see too much business. I didn't really care for the cornbread, but I'm really picky about cornbread, so I won't take off points for that. The greens were cooked to perfection, and the yams had just enough sweetness without it overpowering the flavor of the potato. Not here, it was perfectly baked, and you could tell they did not skim on the cheese. I normally dislike eating macaroni and cheese from restaurants because it is either too dry with not enough cheese, or too soupy with cheese sauce. The macaroni and cheese was cheesy, fluffy, and quite frankly some of the best I've eaten. I had them split the wings-two barbecue, two regular fried, and let me tell you, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I ordered a four piece wing meal with yams and mac&cheese, and ordered an additional side of collard greens. I'm SO happy I did, as I think Marjoe's is about to replace the other soul food restaurants permanently for me. So I Yelped this place, and decided to trust fellow Yelpers and give the new joint a shot. I wanted some soul food, but just did not feel like dealing with the inconsistency of both R&R or M&Ms. Wow! I hardly ever visit new places with few reviews on Yelp, but I was visiting my hometown of Carson, and noticed this place popped up next to Louisiana Chicken (which I dislike intensely). This place holds great conversation, but the food was not good at all. Even my half of hamburger bun for bread smh. Everything but the greens went to the trash. Sorry to say I threw up maybe 10 minutes after sampling my dinner and was very light headed from all the salt from the two spoons of macaroni. My turkey chops also tasted as if it was cooked in old grease and this was horrible a corner piece of my meat was very under cooked and fatty. And the mac n cheese was the same as the review stated sort of soup like, and very salty. My greens were okay, but I had to add a Lil hot sauce for them to have a taste. My rice and beans were half crunchy and have cooked. I'm a cook myself and my specialty is fried fish so this was an insult to me and the south. Tried the fish, cooked way too hard and the grease was old, the fish tasted like copper. Now all conversation is over, we out the door.Ĭould not wait to dig in when I got home. Kim responded sure and she was cool about it.īut the her husband insisted that she put some mac n cheese inside my plate anyway so she did. My boi ordered fried fish and red beans and rice.Īfter reading the reviews I then asked was it ok to change my mac n cheese to extra greens. My order was turkey chops, collards, beans and rice. Man it's too late because she had started to cook our food. Now while they were talking I was checking out the reviews and I wanted to change my mind on the food. The vibe was all the way cool, this also came with great conversation.ĭuring the conversation I was told that they had just came in from Vegas. I admit I was a Lil disappointed at first, but then the owners Kim and Joseph walked in and said it was a bit hot inside the kitchen but they were open. Upon arrival we walked inside the establishment and this guy who was hooking up the cable told us that the restaurant was closed.
